Jim Street
Jim Street is a watercolor artist who currently lives with his wife in central Texas. A lifelong painter, Jim's artwork took a back-seat during a 22 year career in the military. During that time his work took him around the world, where he was introduced to many of the scenes that can be seen in his paintings. His subject matter varies from old vehicles with character to antique architecture to city scenes and historical sites.
His latest endeavors include painting the Texas Hill Country and surrounds in Plein Air, many of which have been commissioned by property owners who are attracted to his Plein Air style. The artist selects his subject matter and paints it in a way that tends to connect the viewer with beloved memories of things in the past. It is not uncommon to overhear folks who are viewing his paintings say "That reminds me of a time when ..." Jim earned a BFA degree in painting from the University of Florida and is a signature member of the Florida Watercolor Society and the Texas Watercolor Society. His work is held by collectors around the United States and currently showing at the Pitzer Fine Art in downtown Wimberley where he is highly established with the art community.
