Robert Milo Jones was born in Lufkin, Texas in 1958. He started painting at the age of 9 and it was apparent that God had gifted him in this area.  He was originally known in the East Texas region as the pine tree artist for his extremely detailed oil on canvas paintings.  He is self-taught in his brush technique and enjoys painting landscapes and realistic scenes from all regions of Texas ,as well as scenery throughout the United States.  His paintings depict exquisite detail using brush or German pallet knife. He studied and mastered the impressionistic pallet knife technique under the tutelage of American and Canadian known artist William Harisch.
